Description: Progestins are synthetic versions of progesterone. They are often used as birth control pills and in hormone replacement therapies. The typical dosage range for oral use is 20-40mg daily. Oral administration of progestins may cause a number of side effects, including nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, headaches, dizziness, weight gain, mood swings, anxiety, depression, acne, bloating, fluid retention, hair loss, and changes in blood pressure.
